| 英文描述 | LIBOSTRONGYLUS DOUGLASSI is a parasite of the proventriculus of ostriches. In South Africa is has caused mortality of up to 50% among juvenile ostriches (Barton and Seward). The parasite can cause diphtheritic proventriculitis and impaction. Dx by culture of larvae from feces of affected birds (Barton and Seward). Prevention and treatment were discussed by Barton and Seward. |
